Every employer with one or more employees ( using any amount of chemicals such as: Caustics, Corrosives, Degreasers, Detergents, Abrasives, Lubricants, Cutting Oils, Solvents, Removers, Cleaners, Hydraulics, Acids, etc.) must have a WRITTEN HAZARD COMMUNICATIONS PROGRAM. It shall include at minimum:
- Written chemical handling procedures covering: Labeling, Spills, First Aid, Fire, Explosion, Storing, and Mixing.
- A list of all chemicals on site (commercial and household) with easy reference MSDS sheets.
- A formal employee training program.
- An employee training lesson on reading MSDSs and training certificates.
- A copy of the law (1910.1200).
- Copies of all Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS).
- Accident Investigation forms.
- Documentation and Recordkeeping forms and instructions.
- Glossary of terms.
- OSHA References
